Go Beneath the surface of Future Technologies
For the 2024–2025 season, the Taos LEGO® League participated in FIRST® DIVE℠, presented by Qualcomm—a theme that invited students to explore the mysteries and ecosystems beneath the ocean’s surface. This year’s challenge encouraged teams to dive into the world of marine science, uncovering how every creature contributes to a balanced and thriving underwater environment.
Throughout the season, students combined STEM learning with teamwork, using robotics, coding, and creative problem-solving to design innovative solutions related to ocean health. From researching marine conservation topics to programming robots to navigate simulated underwater missions, participants developed technical and collaboration skills that mirror real-world scientific exploration. The season celebrated not only the wonders of our oceans but also the power of community, creativity, and youth-led innovation—empowering students to connect their local learning to global impact. |

In the 2024–2025 season, Taos LEGO® League proudly launched its very first competitive team--The LEGO Crew of Taos. As part of the global FIRST® LEGO League SUBMERGED℠ challenge, this enthusiastic group of young innovators explored life beneath the ocean's surface through coding, robotics, and research-driven problem-solving.
Below are some clips highlighting their journey—full of creativity, teamwork, and deep dives into marine-themed missions. |
It was very interesting that we got to build a real, live robot. I never imagined I would build a robot. It was really cool. |
